About this Role

Fandom is growing! Our Accounting Manager position is responsible for financial and administration operations in the greater European Union. As a member of the management team, you will shape our overall vision and business plans, and assist the management team in any way to ensure that we implement our plans as it relates to Fandom's EMEA operating units (PL, UK, Germany, and Spain). Provide overall leadership in Financial matters of Fandom's EMEA subsidiaries and branch offices, including budgeting, planning, systems integration and reporting. Fandom has a solid reputation for high-quality and streamlined operations. You will report to our Director of Finance based in Poznan, Poland. You must be based in Poland and can work remotely or hybrid in our Poznan office.

You Will...

  • Maintain the General Ledger for all EMEA subsidiaries
  • Perform monthly closing process
  • Improve our journal entry control system
  • Analyze and reconcile monthly general ledger accounts to supporting documentation
  • Establish a system and process to ensure accurate financial reporting for all EMEA offices/subsidiaries and branches.
  • Prepare the monthly department, Subsidiary or branch office financial statements providing comparative analysis to plan
  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger – identifying those assets owned by our organization and those collateralized by lease lines and other bank financing
  • Budgeting & Planning - Help prepare and monitor our actual performance against the current budget and business plan
  • Treasury - Maintain the cash records for all EMEA offices/subsidiaries and branches, reconcile all cash accounts with bank provided information, including credit card transactions with reports from those agencies.
  • Revenue – Ensure billing and invoicing of all revenue and proper accounting treatment as for all EMEA offices/subsidiaries and branches policy on revenue recognition.
  • Contracts management – Review all contracts with vendors of all EMEA offices/subsidiaries and branches. Insure consistency and compliance with company policies.
  • Reporting and tax compliance - ensure reporting of monthly financial information with on-time reporting of all taxes with the appropriate authorities

You Have...

  • 4+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting Manager position in an international company; advertising or IT background will be a strong asset
  • Degree and Finance/Accounting and certification
  • You will manage two direct reports
  • Statutory accounting and financial knowledge
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferably) and advanced Excel skills (can perform complex functions)
  • Hands-on mentality with attention to detail
  • English, and speaking German or Spanish is a bonus
