APJ REGIONAL COMPONENT MARKETING LEAD
THE ROLE:
The APJ Regional Component Marketing Lead reports to the Director of Regional APJ Marketing and is the main AMD marketing point of contact for APJ Component partners that design and manufacture notebook and desktop personal computers (PCs). He/she will be responsible for managing communications between APJ region component partners, SIs, Distributors, ISV work closely across various AMD Marketing teams within region and worldwide.
THE PERSON:
The APJ Regional Component Marketing Lead should have a willingness and ability to jump in, take the lead, learn, and inspire others. Strong and driven leadership capabilities needed to make thing happen, drive collaborations across HQ, regional and in-country AMD team. He/she will produce exceptional and impactful marketing work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
APJ Regional Component Marketing Lead
Develop and grow APJ Component business segment to support AMD Ryzen and Radeon channel partners, Distis, eTailers/retailers, SI, SMB partners with new programs and opportunities. To be successful, you need to grow Component marketing through enablement activities leveraging AMD brands and assets.
Act as APJ component key liaison between AMD HQ Gaming team and AMD APJ Component Sales for all marketing programs across APJ Channel. Program development includes:
- Leverage account management work with Distribution and Retail/etailers to bring new program ideas to the APJ Channel and HQ teams
- Identify and groom prospective SIs within component channel ecosystem.
- Implementing social/influencers/live stream and best practice across all social channels
- Grow presence of AMD Ryzen and Radeon in channel to elevate AMD’s overall brand and gaming strength
- Engaging with our AIB/ODM partners on product launches and co-marketing activities to maximize AMD’s share of voice and drive marketing consistency and excellence
- Align and activate APJ Channel programs designed to increase sell out and AMD’s market share
- Working with APJ country teams to connect with SI partners, distributors and System Integrators (SI) to follow up on marketing opportunities and monitor implementation.
- Drive deep partner relationship activities with AMD and other major brands.
Account Management
- Leverage account management work with SI-AIB-ODM to bring new program ideas to the APJ Channel and HQ teams
- Distribution and Retail partner accounts
- Manage separate Distribution and Retail channel tracks
- New account development – Distribution, Retail, SI, ODM/AIB Partners
- SI sell out programs for AMD Ryzen, Radeon
- Go-to-market activation and program planning for accounts
Event management
- Lead for APJ specific events
- Channel Summit customer events
- Gaming events: PAX, TGS, G-Star
- Event project tracking, Partner integration, Status and tracking for APJ and HQ teams
Channel Marketing program tracking
- Sell-out program performance
- Status and tracking for APJ and HQ teams
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a customer facing marketing role, broad marketing experience in the IT industry in the DIY/Component Channel/i-Cafe space with account marketing management, business development. Experience in working with Fortune 500- Global Accounts is a plus point.
- Strong familiarity with the gaming market or IT industry would be an advantage.
- Customer focus and follow-through is a must with ability to act quickly on multiple challenges.
- Ability to plan and prioritize multiple accounts and tasks effectively.
- Proven skills in ecosystem partner and/or account relationship and management. Ability to work effectively in a cross-divisional, multi-national and highly collaborative environment.
- Creative problem solving and accountability.
- Possess a personal passion for marketing, customer relationship marketing, technology, partners and satisfaction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Comfort with ambiguous situations. Flexibility to change course based on new information or shifting business needs.
- Availability to travel
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience or training.
