As an Art Director, you’ll be able to create, define and follow the implementation of a new art direction for the entire production of the game.

Your main and expected responsabilities for this role are: 

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to define the artistic vision for a multiplayer shooter video game.   
  • Contribute to the art & technical pipeline definition to ensure we keep innovation and performance at the heart of our activity.
  • Share, cultivate and promote the artistic vision throughout the team. 
  • Inspire artists to create assets that will fulfil the art & creative vision of the project.  
  • Ensure the reach of expected artistic quality by guide, coach, review, and critique art deliverables. 
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, Producer, and other Directors to review progress of the game and adjust the implementation of features to match the vision and scope as needed.   
  • Create a variety of assets, game concepts, or other materials to support production as needed. 
  • Maintain a high level of asset management practices and standards to better facilitate both internal and external sharing with other Ubisoft studios.  

What you bring to the team:

  • Game development experience as Art Director on a shipped AAA, ideally a multiplayer shooter game.
  • You have a keen understanding of technical constraints and ability to work with VFX, lighting, world to achieve artistic vision in a realistic style
  • You have the ability to work in highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, iterative environment, while delivering under deadlines and time constraints.
  • 3D software used in game development have no secrets for you, are excited to work and make the most of our internal technical pipelines.
  • You guarantee the coherence of the content produced and are a source of proposals
  • You have a strong ability to integrate, communicate and orient a vision. Perfectly comfortable in English, you know how to adapt to a multicultural environment.
  • You listen to players and market trends.
  • In-depth understanding of general game design processes
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
