Job Title: Associate Cinematic Artist – The Sims (Temporary / Remote)

The Growth Marketing Content Production Team plans, creates, and delivers compelling creative content to empower EA’s brand go-to-market strategies across global channels.  We leverage industry-leading expertise in computer graphics and design, VFX, storytelling, and editorial, directing and producing to execute content that represents and expands our franchise strategies, expand lore and gameplay insight, and deliver call to action excitement to our fans and players around the world.

Description:

As an Associate Cinematic Artist, you will report to a senior cinematic artist, and work alongside a team of creative artists and leads to help capture The Sims 4 gameplay content (video and static) for marketing, social, internal, and occasionally in-game use.

As a member of the cinematics team, you will possess basic art fundamentals and use of camera language to invoke creative storytelling. You will learn our brand bible and best practices while given the freedom to create characters and assets to deliver content.

Responsibilities:

  • Create aspirational and diverse Sim characters.
  • Build inspiring in-game interior and exterior sets.
  • Capture in-game videos for trailers, social media assets, and other uses.
  • Capture screenshots using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Create GIFs from captured footage.
  • Report and communicate issues to the leads. Communication is important.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Sims 4 player with an understanding of the game.
  • Good sense of composition, cinematography, color, and lighting.
  • Work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experienced Adobe Photoshop user.
  • Welcome feedback and constructive criticism, and enjoy working in a collaborative, iterative, and agile process.
  • Quick to adapt to company proprietary software.
  • Passion for games and creating video content.
  • Experienced with video capture and editing software (Premiere and Unreal).

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $66,000 - $100,800 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.
