Job Title: Marcom – Associate Cinematic Technical Artist – The Sims
Description:
As an Associate Cinematic Tech Artist, you will report to a Lead Cinematic Artist and collaborate with Cinematic Artists and Studio partners to help design, develop and maintain In-Engine and Unreal cinematic tools. You will work with Artists to assist and troubleshoot workflow, tools and support project needs. As a member of the cinematics team, secondary responsibilities include some cinematic capture to help create The Sims gameplay content (video and static) for marketing, social, internal, and occasionally in-game use.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehend and modify existing tools and materials in Unreal and company proprietary software.
- Create prototypes and tools using Unreal from scratch.
- Instruct artists on how to use tools through technical documentation, tutorials and virtual instruction.
- Capture in-game videos for trailers and social media assets.
- Report and communicate updates and issues to team Leads. Communication is important.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate to expert level of Unreal i.e. blueprint editing and creation to help with tools and final look in the engine.
- C++ Java Python programming knowledge.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to meet responsibilities without constant guidance.
- Understand complex features/systems and how it applies to the product.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with observational skills.
- Welcome feedback and constructive criticism, and enjoy working in a collaborative and iterative process.
- Ability to work in tight deadlines, flexible schedule and overtime when necessary.
- Ability to work remotely and attend virtual conversations throughout the day.
- Quick to adapt to company proprietary software.
- Ability to learn video game debug systems.
- Ability to work a Passion for games and creating video content.
Additional Benefits:

- Interest in marketing asset creation.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs is a plus but not required.
