This role is on the World Building branch of the Art Department, where as an Associate World Artist you will be focused on Map Outsourcing & Performance, providing guidance and oversight to our map content that is being developed by our outsourcing partners. You will be auditing the content that our OS partners author to generate tasks and feedback to ensure that the content meets our standards and goals.
What you’ll do…
- Review asset deliveries to assess if they are following our best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with your Art and Design team counterparts to reach departmental goals.
- Help guide our OS partners to detail and polish geometry based upon photo reference and concept art.
- Write documents to direct OS teams and correct any errors found during reviews.
- Write documentation and examples as needed to convey processes for tool usage and performance topics for both internal and external usage.
To succeed you should…
- Be able to communicate effectively with other World Builders, Artists, Designers, Management, and peers across other development teams.
- Be proactive in communicating progress and solving problems.
- Be a team player and look for opportunities to self-motivate and be a positive force for the studio.
- Have familiarity with one or more 3d level/world creation packages (Maya, Unreal, Unity, Radiant, etc).
- Have professional game development experience as a Level Artist.
We’d love it if you also have…
- Experience working with Outsourcing or Auditing content.
- Knowledge of level construction methods or experience creating multiplayer levels.
- Experience with creating assets with considerations to technical limitations such as memory, tri-count, or frame rate.
- Experience with creating materials with any of the following: Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance, or equivalent.
- Mod community experience.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $24.04 - $44.47 Hourly. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
