Rockstar San Diego is on the lookout for a positive, solution-oriented Production Coordinator to join our Narrative Gameplay team and assist in making some of the most highly respected and widely recognized AAA titles in video games.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s new state-of-the-art game development studio in Carlsbad, CA. 

WHAT WE DO

  • We create narrative in-game story and open world moments for all Rockstar video games. 
  • We are involved in the planning and direction of motion capture shoots. 
  • We use our onsite motion capture facilities to prototype new systems, directing talent and fine-tuning the results with code and design.  
  • We embellish performances, emphasizing weight, timing & silhouette to create visually stunning animations. 
  • We take mocap data and edit the structure to work for in-game interactions.
  • We work with the global animation and design teams to problem solve and implement immersive sequences. 
  • We review animations and implement feedback from lead reviews. 
  • We encourage ownership and creativity where everyone’s voice is heard.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide production support for all our Global titles. 
  • Liaise with Directors/Leads and the wider teams to ensure all work is prioritized correctly and help keep track of the workloads of individual team members.  
  • Produce reports to help with long term planning, organize sprint meetings and follow up on project progress, and equally identify and follow up on dependencies with other departments and get them resolved promptly. 
  • Create and maintain documentation from a variety of sources, including meeting notes, design docs, weekly project updates and emails, plus record tutorial and demo videos for feature areas as required. 
  • Manage competing priorities effectively ensuring that all relevant parties are informed of project status/changes.  
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and report animation issues to relevant departments.  
  • Sync information across team scheduling boards to keep track of all requests.  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree/diploma in a related discipline.
  • Experience in production or project management.

SKILLS

  • Experience contributing to the maintenance of a project plan and schedule.  
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work closely in a team setting and with other departments.  
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  
  • Eagerness to learn new workflows and software tools.  
  • Motivated, flexible, and autonomous.  
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.  
  • Experience with or interest in the video game development process or software development.  

PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.

  • Proficiency in multiple software tools to manage projects and facilitate related communication, including and not limited to Excel, Bug Tracking Programs (i.e. TestTrack Pro, JIRA, Bugzilla), Word, MS Project, PPM system, Visio, and PowerPoint. 
  • Proven successful production experience organizing and tracking large amounts of information.

The pay range for this position in San Diego at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
