Important Responsibilities

  • Team Management: You will lead two small teams of Individual Contributors in Build and Release and application development, promoting an atmosphere of innovation and collaboration.

  • Partnerships: Collaborate with both Game and Technical team members within Creative Technologies and our customers (game teams) to define goals and milestones.

  • Technical Decision-making: Use your expertise to arbitrate technical decisions for the engineering team, and articulate / define the WHAT, HOW, and (in partnership with Product Management) WHY for our technology roadmaps.

  • Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the team, promoting an environment of learning and improvement.

  • Quality Review: Review completed engineering deliverables before release, ensuring that they meet our standards of quality and reliability.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and manage them, implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Broad Technical Understanding: Develop an understanding of EA's game technologies, engines, and strategies, ensuring that our development is aligned with EA's broader goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on small to medium-scale Build and Release pipelines

  • A comprehensive understanding of the CI / CD space as well as desktop application in C#.

  • 5+ years as a Software Developer, with increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid environment.

  • Willing to travel to meet with team members and partners in person.

  • Bachelor's degree in one of Computer Science (or related technical field) or equivalent practical experience.

Management skills required:

  • 3+ years of experience as a People Manager.

  • Instil a culture that prioritises game teams as valued customers, ensuring their needs are met at the forefront of product delivery and the decision-making process.

  • Mentor, coach, and aid in the development of team members.
