BI Analyst

 

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about implementing data science and operating analytical solutions that have a direct impact on AMD’s business. You will join a relatively new team, which offers great potential to grow and make your mark.

 

THE PERSON:

Are you passionate about business intelligence? If you have some work experience with BI tools and SQL, along with business acumen then this may be a great role for you! The BI Analyst will work closely with internal clients to understand business needs to build different dashboards. He/she will also work closely with data logistic teams building data models and work with data science team to integrate predictive models with dashboards.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner and align with business leaders and stakeholders to understand the business needs and address them via various dashboards
  • Interact with internal clients to evaluate products and performance
  • Work closely with data architects to implement new data models and new data acquisitions
  • Monitor analytics and metrics results.
  • Collaborate with other teams to enrich the available data

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Passionate about and experienced with business intelligence
  • Some experience with BI tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Einstein Analytics (Wave Analytics)
  • Experience with relational SQL and No-SQL databases
  • Experience with DAX and MDX preferred
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools, such as KNIME, preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or Java, preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of BI tools, such as Hadoop and Spark, preferred.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields is preferred.

 

LOCATION:

Austin, TX (This is NOT a remote role.)
