Working within the Ubisoft Data Office department, the role of the Business Analyst is to act as a link between the business teams and the technical teams to transform business needs into effective and sustainable BI solutions.

This will involve working on Finance and Sales related topics around databases and reporting/data visualization tools within the Data team associated with this area. Your role as business analyst is to gather the requirements from the business teams, to formalize them by creating specifications, to translate and communicate the requirements to the technical team, to prepare and perform acceptance testing, to create documentation and to offer post go live support on the implemented solution.

Among other missions, you will also be involved in the implementation of a new ERP at company level, by working on data transformations to adapt the existing Finance data products and interfaces with legacy applications.

You will work in a complex ecosystem with business teams as internal clients, technical BI teams and external consultants.

 

Your main mission:

  • Collaborate and communicate efficiently with business teams to understand their processes, be able to collect, analyze and translate requirements into specifications and user stories;
  • Propose action plan depending on priorities, lead changes and work in a project mode with business and IT teams;
  • Validate specifications with developers and architects;
  • Develop and apply test cases to ensure the proper functioning of data flows;
  • Perform complex SQL queries in order to extract data, perform tests for data validation;
  • Coordinate with the business teams the validation of deliverables;
  • Participate in reporting and data visualization activities;
  • Create documentation for the deliverables.

The professional value you bring:

  • Extensive knowledge in IT or Business with exposure to project management / business analysis;
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a role involving data analysis (strong SQL skills are required);
  • Good understanding of business processes (finance and accounting);
  • Previous experience on Business intelligence projects delivery;
  • Excellent capacity to translate and modelize business requirements in IT solutions design;
  • Experience of agile project management methodologies;
  • Experience with data vizualization tools and data analysis;
  • A proficient ability to use various IT software, such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft, Miro;
