BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - DATA ANALYTICS

THE ROLE: 

In this role you will perform business systems and data analysis work within the Customer Knowledge Applications team with responsibilities that include data modeling, data cleansing, report and dashboard creation, and delivering data insights to support a fast-changing business environment.  This role will focus on Salesforce reporting systems, but candidates should feel comfortable enough with data concepts and best practices to work within a variety of systems and tools.

A successful candidate for this role possess demonstrated skills in both systems analysis and data analytics and brings curiosity and critical thinking to the role.  They feel excited about digging into the details of a complicated problem, but are equally comfortable in stepping back to understand the bigger picture in which their data resides. They bring creativity to their role, seeking novel solutions to new problems and opportunities to impove the status quo.  The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently or collaboratively within the team as projects dictate. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Collaborate on diverse projects involving multiple teams, manage relationships across functional positions, and present to multidisciplinary audiences 
• Design, document, test and maintain system processes and functionality for primarily, but not limited to, reporting and business intelligence systems in close partnership with IT  
• Drive continuous improvement through gathering requirements and proposing solutions to improve business processes  
• Maintain reporting integrity, through research and documentation of data lineages, data dictionaries and data source to target mappings 
• Build a culture of data driven decision making through creating user friendly dashboards, training users on reporting systems and communicating best practices and emerging trends in data analysis 
• Continually look for new ways to evaluate data and follow trends to realize actionable opportunities to improve the business process and customer experience  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with others towards a common goal

• Experience using SQL, Python or other data or scripting language(s) 

• Experience building and maintaining data models and dashboards through business intelligence and visualization software (Salesforce Lightning Reports, Salesforce CRM Analytics, Microsoft PowerBI, preferred) 

• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and track many activities 

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to tailor a message to the appropriate audience

• Excitement to take on new challenges and help in a team environment

• Demonstrated critical thinking and creativity when engaging with a wide range of tasks

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
