EA Sports FC is hiring 1st, 2nd or 3rd year University students for an 8-month co-op placement starting in May 2023 for the FC Gameplay team. The FC Gameplay team are looking for someone passionate about football/soccer who is looking to work in a supportive and challenging environment. You will work with Producers, Development Directors and Technical Leads to lead the development of bug fixes, game changes, and new features into the game across different modes. You will report to a senior engineer or a development director.Responsibilities: You will write specific or multi-purpose code for areas such as:Game Mechanics -- Gameplay, AI, player control, animation systems, physics, and scripting systems.Tools and Libraries -- Productivity tools for gameplay and animation development.Qualifications:Working knowledge of C++Experience with another programming language(s) (C#, Java, python, etc.)Experienced in object-oriented design and implementation. Nice to Have:Working knowledge in C#Working knowledge in PythonKnowledge of how to use a debugger.Experience with common ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlowKnowledge of good software engineering practices.Knowledge of source code management: CVS, Subversion, Git or Perforce.
