THE ROLE:

This is a great opportunity to develop and maintain world-class metrics dashboard for hardware RTL design flow in a fast-paced production environment on the very edge of modern technology! The goal of our Central CAD team at AMD is to determine a set of standards and techniques for designing chips with the highest performance, lowest cost, and lowest power usage. We then automate these best practices into a software design flow for efficiency and consistency, and work with various design teams to put the software to use in constructing next-generation GPUs, CPUs and APUs with industry-standard EDA software tools such as Synopsys Fusion Compiler and Prime Time.

THE PERSON:

You are a highly motivated self-starter, who is passionate about solving problems and reaching goals. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and collaborate well with others on your geographically distributed team, as well as with other business units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conceiving and developing new features for visualization dashboards
• Develop and maintain both server-side and client-side visualization applications
• Improving and maintaining the metrics dashboards infrastructure and automation.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent Python, UNIX and scripting programming skills (Perl and Linux Shell)
• Production experience with Python-Flask or Django developments with Nginx and Apache Web servers
• Proficient knowledge of Linux environments with globally networked file systems
• Proficiency using MongoDB
• Experience in hardware digital frontend design is desirable but not required
• Experience with version control software (e.g. perforce, git)

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's(4+ years) or Master's Degree (2+ years) in Computer or SW Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is preferred. 

LOCATION:

San Jose, CA

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Expected to range from $114,400 to $171,600, commensurate with experience and specific skill sets.
