THE ROLE:

We are looking for our next team member drive sales and design wins for AMD Embedded business in tight collaboration with The Embedded Business Unit. He/she will be responsible for establishing the AMD strategy, to penetrate named “Market Maker” accounts and expand revenue within the Networking & Storage Vertical markets with an emphasis on storage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and implement sales strategies that grow the revenue base and market share for the Embedded business at the assigned accounts
  • Maintain detailed account plans and opportunity progress within the SalesForce.Com environment.
  • Identify customer challenges and translate these challenges into a compelling value proposition, ideally from chip-level technology into system level solutions
  • Establish the appropriate relationships with Key Buying Influencers at the named accounts within the Central Area.
  • Work with the Business Unit Vertical leads and develop an “air tight” strategy to penetrate the top accounts within the vertical segment.
  • Ensure close collaboration with the territory Field Application Engineer (FAE) and align priorities to penetrate the top accounts within the Networking & Storage vertical segments.

 

Within the first 3-6 months, the Central Area Sales Manager will:

  • Asses the assigned accounts and recommend any changes that are required to ensure success within the account base
  • Develop a strong Sales Funnel that insures a constant flow of Market Maker design wins within the Networking & Storage vertical segments.
  • Gain trust and confidence of the leadership team
  • Develop relationship with the Vertical Leads to identify/build synergistic approach to leverage AMD products in the Networking & Storage verticals

 

Within the first 12 months, the Central Area Sales Manager will:

  • Build a strong funnel of Networking & Storage opportunities at named accounts
  • Ensure the organization is aligned and is executing the product strategy and vision set out for the assigned accounts.
  • Demonstrate design wins with key customers such that customers in storage & networking verticals are advocating AMD products back into OEMS

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in comparable roles, building and managing a strong sales funnel within a complex sale environment.
  • Technical Experience: an established background in Embedded CPU & FPGA sales with demonstrated progressive experience selling Embedded Products into the assigned vertical segments
  • Customer Experience: strong historical interaction and relationships with key customers and OEMs within the Central Area
  • Organizational Experience: demonstrated effectiveness managing and penetrating top accounts within assigned vertical segments

 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with an MBA as a bonus
