As the EA Technology Communications & Learning team, our purpose is to educate, communicate, and celebrate EA technology and the people who inspire it. Our diverse team of experts work with technical teams and leaders across the company to develop stories and programs that support EA’s technology vision.

Summary

As a Communications & Content Writer, you will work with internal and external communications experts, technologists, researchers, game teams and EA Technology partners to deliver compelling copy and content for a variety of internal and external channels. This full-time position sits on our Tech Communications & Learning team and reports to the Brand & Communications Senior Director. We are looking for someone who is curious and proactive, looking for the next EA Technology story to share widely.  Responsibilities

  • You will research, develop, and write high-quality stories on many technology topics, from game engine tools to machine learning research.

  • You will turn complex technical topics and ideas into attractive engaging content.

  • You will write content for a variety of audiences, both internal and external to EA.

  • You will deliver to high quality and accurate communications, using fact-checking and independent research.

  • You will be a voice for the EA Technology brand, voice, and ethos, being consistent to it in your own work and in collaboration with others.

  • You will manage deliverables according to content calendars and established communications roadmaps.

  • You will refine content with editors and partner feedback, to deliver revisions and changes.

Qualifications

  • You will have 5+ years of professional experience as a digital journalist, copywriter, or communications expert or equivalent industry experience.

  • You will have experience writing and editing digital content for different channels and audiences, with a proven understanding of digital communication best practices

  • You will have experience in coordinating and collaborating with multiple technology teams and leaders in a global corporate environment

  • You will seek out and verify information, stories, and data, working through email, meetings, Slack type tools, research, and digital or in-person interviews

  • You will be comfortable giving and receiving creative feedback, and working through multiple rounds of revisions (when needed)

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $77,600 - $119,000 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and after 3 months of service - extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
