Content Strategist - EA Customer Experience

Multiple locations: Ireland or UK

6 Months Temporary Contract

#WeAreEA and we exist to inspire the world to play.

EA values creativity, pioneering, passion, determination, learning, and teamwork. We mean things like acting with curiosity, speaking up with original ideas, and committing to each other as one team.

Come join us! We're hiring a Content Strategist to join EA's Fan Care Team.

EA's Fan Care organization exists to help our fans get the most fun from their games. From onboarding new players to getting them back in the game when they have issues, we support fans across their EA experiences and keep them safe online. We value people who bring new ideas and perspectives to make Fan Care a great place to be and be from. We celebrate diversity and inclusion. It's just as important for us to create great experiences for our people as for our players. We're looking for people who will show up excited to work and ready for fun.

As a Content Strategist, you'll join the Fan Care team and report to the Manager, Content. You advocate for the reader, in our case fans and players, and work tirelessly to make sure that what you write is easy for them to understand. You think about their experiences playing our games, what they may need help with, and the entire user journey. You'll work with teams across Fan Care and the rest of EA to bring our brand to life through clever content on our help channels.

Responsibilities

  • You use research and insights to create content strategies that meet our players' needs and expectations.
  • You write and edit help content that makes it easy for players to find answers online.
  • You write content for several of our help channels, including our website, self-service tools, and in-game.
  • You take insights and turn them into actions to improve our content to target our key performance indicators.
  • You follow SEO, UX, and accessibility best practices when planning and creating content.
  • You partner with stakeholders across CE and EA to strategize about our content across tools, products, and channels.
  • You use our house style guide and tone of voice to be personal, real, positive, and inclusive in everything you write.
  • You provide ongoing, relevant content updates to your stakeholders.
  • You keep track of ongoing projects, launches, and initiatives assigned to you and have an organized plan for how you'll get your work done.
  • You identify ways to incorporate new ideas, approaches, and knowledge into daily and long-term tasks.
  • You tailor communications to your audience, providing either in-depth expertise or a high-level summary depending on the situation; you're always aware of the size and leadership-level in your audience.
  • You seek opportunities to collaborate both inside and outside of the team, working with key influencers to effect change in projects and throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • You have 3+ years' experience in writing, with proofreading and copy editing experience.
  • You have experience using an industry-standard style guide, like the Chicago Manual of Style.
  • You have experience working with highly technical content.
  • You have basic understanding and skills using SEO, UX, and accessibility best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • An interest or passion in the video game industry.
  • Experience in mobile spaces.
