THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Vice President of Silicon Development to lead the development of the world's leading deep learning IP, that is driving AI experiences pervasively across AMD’s product portfolio from client to edge to cloud.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering industry-leading processors and AI accelerators. We are looking for a unique leader with deep technical expertise and understanding of the deep learning technologies, trends and someone that can build and scale a world-class team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development of the company's deep learning architecture and silicon, ensuring that they are world-class in terms of performance, power efficiency, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute on product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Build and manage a world-class team of engineers and technical leaders to deliver high-quality AI products.
- Drive technical innovation and excellence within the team, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in deep learning architectures and silicon.
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners and customers to drive business growth.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 15+ years of experience in Silicon development of processors and AI accelerators.
- Deep architecture experience and insights that are needed to deliver industry-leading products
- Proven track record of leading successful product development teams, delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of the deep learning landscape, including trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
