About this Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced CRM Manager to join our team at Fandom. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in email and push marketing, coupled with a proven ability to drive user engagement and retention through targeted and personalized communication strategies.

This is an individual contributor role and will report directly to the Director, CRM.

You Will...

  • Develop and execute comprehensive CRM marketing strategies to engage and retain our user base across email and push notification channels.
  • Plan, build, and deploy high-converting email campaigns, including newsletters, promotional offers, product updates, and event notifications.
  • Implement automated email workflows and segmentation strategies to deliver personalized content tailored to different user segments and personas.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, content, and analytics, to ensure alignment of CRM initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Work with the sales team to identify opportunities and strategies for monetizing newsletters through sponsorships, partnerships, and advertising placements.
  • Continuously analyze campaign performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and revenue attribution, to optimize campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Utilize A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies to iterate and improve upon email and push notification content, timing, and targeting.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in CRM marketing, email marketing platforms, and push notification tools.
  • Balance fan service and monetization, optimizing for impact across onsite referrals, in-email advertising and commerce content promotion
  • Monitor deliverability and inbox placement rates, identify and troubleshoot deliverability issues, and maintain a clean and engaged subscriber list.
  • Work closely with the data analytics team to leverage customer data and insights for audience segmentation, personalization, and predictive modeling.

 

You Have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in CRM marketing, email marketing, or digital marketing roles, preferably within the media or entertainment industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing email and push notification campaigns to drive user engagement and retention.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms such as Iterable or similar tools. Experience with push notification platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of email deliverability best practices and CAN-SPAM compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to craft compelling and effective messaging that resonates with target audiences.
  • Experience with HTML and CSS for email template customization.
  • Self-motivated team player with a proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with programmatic advertising partners a plus
