THE ROLE:

Do you have a passion for SoC development and customer engagement for leading game console customer? 

We are looking for a Silicon Evaluation Lead who will technically guide System on a Chip development and bounding box attainment for semi-custom SoCs and platforms.

THE PERSON:

Confident leader able to self-navigate the technical challenges and executive communications required to align teams throughout AMD's SoC development.  Can act as a player/coach for a team of engineers. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Drive semi-custom strategy and process for pre-silicon emulation planning and execution milestones across the semi-custom product portfolio   

Accountable to track and debug design issues and customer observations 

Ownership of internal and external issue triage in coordination with cross functional stakeholders in a global organization 

Drives end to end emulation oversight, including demand roll-up, and is primary advocate to ensure program needs including design, platform emulation are achieved. 

Identifies technology and feature risk areas. Accountable for development and execution of mitigation plans 

Specifying technology metrics and checkpoints for pre and post Silicon status 

Helps drive product bounding box attainment which requires managing execution in partnership with Product Engineering, Firmware, Power, Performance and Thermal teams through planning, execution and debug to achieve optimal SoC power/performance 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

8-12 years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry 

Familiarity with all Design areas and tools and validated understanding of design/technology interactions 

SOC emulation experience and model development with a good understanding of computer organization/architecture 

Experience in SoC Power management and Power/Performance attainment 

Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to details 

Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion 

Proficient presentation, collaboration and communications skills are required 

Strong Team player working with geographically distributed global teams and customer 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor, Master or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Architecture work experience
