THE ROLE:

As Customer Operations Account Manager you will be a key member of the Global Operations organization.  An ideal candidate for this role will be an enthusiastic and initiative-taking individual who has a strong bias for action and is detail and process oriented with a strong operational excellence mindset.  

 

THE PERSON

This Individual will have demonstrated ability and a history of successful operational execution, cross functional collaboration, driving business objectives and the ability to communicate very effectively at all levels of the company. Critical to our success, the individual can proactively drive strategic business initiatives with cross functional stakeholders including sales, marketing, finance, across various business units. You will play a highly visible role within the Customer Operations supporting key customers and/or distribution partners.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • End to end supply chain account management for all operational aspects between AMD and its customers.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all customer fulfillment areas including customer forecast, program management, order management and key customer management.
  • Create a consistent and valued customer experience.
  • Identify and manage key internal and external strategic relationships at multiple levels of management to ensure business continuity.
  • Support customer operations through a high-level understanding of business processes and procedures
  • Effective attainment of key metrics (KPIs).
  • Maintain and expand highly effective working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally to share best practices and modify processes and policies to improve overall customer experience.
  • Oversee order management from customer PO to supply fulfillment tracking
  • Analyze supply/demand gaps working closely with internal partners to solve critical customer issues. Communicate supply fulfillment timeline to sales & customer.
  • Continuously research and remain knowledgeable on industry trends and competition.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Semiconductor industry experience or other relevant industry in Business Management, Operations or Sales
  • Strong business acumen with Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Operational excellence, highly detail oriented, with bias for action
  • Strong team player with “can do” attitude. 
  • Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and keep track of activities.
  • Motivation to sustain high-energy and complex activity levels, in-region and remotely to other regional teams on a world-wide support model.
  • Cross functional collaboration skills to develop and foster strong relationships internally within BU - Sales, Marketing and Engineering Teams and externally with Operations and Finance Teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ability to implement analytical problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to summarize complex, detailed data to present to executive level staff.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of the semiconductor market
  • Ability to identify a customer’s key care-about and thus contribute to overall sales strategy and success.
  • Willingness to keep learning. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite with a solid understanding and ability to use Excel, PowerBI experience a plus
