THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly motivated Cyber Forensic Investigator to join a a dedicated team supporting AMD’s Ethics & Compliance organization, reporting to the Director of Compliance investigations. You will be responsible for conducting digital investigations and providing expert analysis and testimony for legal matters and corporate internal investigations. This role will require direct interactions with employees at all levels, AMD’s Legal team, a team of highly collaborative investigators and other internal stakeholders.

They have experience in computer forensics and are inquisitive about emerging technologies and how it might be incorporated into the overall program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct in-depth forensic examinations of digital devices, networks, and systems to identify evidence and determine their involvement in incidents.
- Identify, preserve, and collect electronic evidence in a forensically sound manner using industry best practices.
- Perform analysis of digital artifacts, logs, and other relevant data, employing various forensic tools and techniques.
- Prepare detailed reports, documenting findings, processes, and evidence, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with legal teams, law enforcement agencies, and internal stakeholders to provide expert advice and testimony in legal proceedings.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and relevant legislation related to digital forensics.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency in utilizing forensic tools such as Magnet, EnCase, FTK, OpenText, or similar software.
- Strong knowledge of file systems, operating systems, network protocols, and data recovery techniques.
- Familiarity with legal and privacy considerations related to digital evidence collection, preservation, and admissibility.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Digital Forensics, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), or equivalents are preferred.
