Data Center GPU Security Program Manager

 

 

THE ROLE:

 AMD is seeking a Software Security Architect/Project Manager to join our Data Center Instinct™ GPU Accelerator team.  This role requires broad experience across cybersecurity, confidential computing, and software design associated with mitigating and preventing GPU-centric security vulnerabilities.  The scope also includes requisite experience in Program/Project Management practices. Problem identification, ongoing stakeholder engagements, wholistic schedule development and tracking, and successful change leadership are all part of the PM deliverables. 

 

THE PERSON: 

You are passionate about GPU/ASIC confidential computing and software development for the improvement of AMD’s Instinct™ line of Data Center GPUs. You can quickly align current GPU-based software architecture to known and potential security vulnerabilities.  You work effectively in a matrixed environment and can network, build relationships, and remove obstacles towards progress. You have excellent communication skills and can explain issues and risks to AMD engineering, business, and customer environments.  You are a critical thinker who understands software design implications for confidential computing within the Instinct GPU portfolio.    

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead hybrid project management teams focused on security improvements for the Instinct GPU line
  • Analyze incoming security vulnerabilities to assess GPU-focused product impact and software-based mitigation options
  • Engage technical leadership frequently to complete phase gate process for vulnerability assessment and response to external customers/general public
  • Manage Jira-based issue tracking framework, including hybrid team interlocks for common solutions, common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVE) backlog, and regular status updates
  • Support business leadership and the Product Security Organization (PSO) in meeting customer response expectations for security vulnerabilities.
  • Deliver required SDL artifacts within the NPI product development phase, aligning with the hybrid software team on mitigation development

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in confidential computing and product security analysis fields for GPU and/or CPU-based platforms
  • 3+ Extensive program management experience with the SLDC process and Agile design methodologies
  • 3+ years of related experience in GPU firmware, drivers, and application development
  • Knowledge of server-based architecture, especially as it relates to security hardening and vulnerability prevention
  • Experience with software management tools including Jira, GitHub, Confluence, and jama Connect
  • General understanding of security technology IP industry standards (CVE, CVSS, MITRE, etc)

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • CAPM/PMP certification preferred
