DATA PROTECTION ANALYST
We’re looking for candidates that want to be an advocate for privacy. A Data Protection Analyst will assist ABK's Data Protection team with various tasks related to improving our privacy program. You would be working to help implement privacy related efforts to ensure we are being transparent to our customers and employees about how we collect, store, and use their data. The following will be areas of focus:
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
- Participate in the process of maintaining our data inventories and documentation that list how we collect, share, and use personal data
- Monitoring and responding to emailed customer privacy inquiries
- Perform and monitor the effectiveness of privacy controls and processes that provide privacy rights to customers and employees
- Assist in onboarding new systems and consulting on changes made to systems related to our privacy technologies (Privacy Rights Systems, Privacy Vendor Tools, etc.)
- Collaborate with various legal, security, and development teams to monitor privacy rights systems and ensure systems are working correctly
- Assist in ensuring third party vendors and new internal systems are flagged for data privacy reviews and assessments
- Utilize task tracking tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Monday to keep stakeholders updated on progress
- Perform self-management tasks such as: monitoring progress, providing summaries of progress, assisting in risk identification, and monitoring mitigation responses
- Monitor and report on monthly KPI metrics, then analyzing data to produce quality reports
- Assisting with projects like Data Cataloging and Data Inventory to help understand better how systems/teams are handling personal data
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a bachelor’s’ degree or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years working as a data analyst with experience collecting, organizing, and filtering data extracts
- 1-2 years’ experience in a data privacy program
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude to get things done
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to filter, sort, and review large amounts of data to clearly present where PII data is stored
- Strong ability to create Excel formulas and managing complex spreadsheets, (experience working with Pivot tables and other analyst tools as a plus)
- 2+ years privacy analyst experience
- Strong technical understanding of a diverse set of technologies
- Ability to use basic office / organization technology tools (email, word editors, calendar, etc.)

- Pay - IS.SC.P3 – Data Protection Business Analyst
- Prefer: Hybrid work (in Irvine – 3 days in office – 2 days WFH) – Right Candidate: Full time remote
- Report to Senior Director - Data Protection & Privacy Engineering

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $62,000.00 - $114,700.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
