Rockstar is on the lookout for talented Data Scientist, Customer Experience, who possesses a passion for both games and creating powerful insights from data. This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. 

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Analytics team provides insights and actionable results to a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization in support of their decision making. 
  • We perform complex analyses, build reporting solutions, and help develop data that drives forward actionable, efficient insight delivery to help inform decisions across multiple stakeholder groups and development projects. 
  • We drive high-impact improvements via hands-on exploration of data, dashboards, statistical analyses, and predictive models. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide analytical support to key projects for our customer experience (CX) stakeholders. 
  • Work with CX teams to align on analytics requirements, translate data, and model results into tactical and strategic insights. Provide insights that are understandable and actionable to support CX team decision making. 
  • Design, validate, and maintain dashboards to measure CX KPIs—such as surveys and operational data—and communicate trends to the organization. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders through the lifecycle of data solutions to ensure we are addressing the right needs. 
  • Partner with CX teams to validate and maintain the integrity of multiple data sources. Collaborate with the CX team and DE team to develop new data models to support CX workflows. 
  • Recommend and implement data solutions and methodologies to measure customer experience health metrics. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years working with SQL to perform exploratory analysis while writing readable and optimized queries.  
  • 2+ years in data science or similar role in the gaming, marketing, finance, or technology fields required. 
  • 1+ years supporting customer experience initiatives. 
  • Ability to draw inferences from disparate data sources, identifying key findings and linking to business strategies or objectives. 
  • Technical proficiency with large-scale datasets and cloud infrastructure 
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, or a related field preferred.  
  • Experience with Python and common data science libraries. 
  • Passion for Rockstar Games and our titles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and visualize complex information in a meaningful way to a variety of audiences. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Ability to work directly with a variety of stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure analytic solutions are relevant and actionable. 
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relations and communicate with people at all hierarchical levels. 
  • Proficiency in statistics such as distributions, predictive modeling, data validation, statistical testing, and regression. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to reconcile technical and business perspectives. 
  • Autonomy and entrepreneurship. 
  • Strong team spirit. 

PLUSES

  • Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks. 
  • Python 
  • CX experience strongly desired. 
  • Game industry experience strongly desired.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
