The Challenge Ahead:

The Development Director (DD) role oversees all aspects of people and project management within their team. You will be experienced in developing people and have proven experience delivering high-quality products to customers. 


Day to day, you will

  • Provide strong career management to those employees who report to you.

  • Build and evolve the teams you oversee; identify resourcing needs, provide challenges and developmental opportunities to ensure that all employees reach their potential.

  • Partner with the other team DDs to create a creative, collaborative, and inclusive environment, promoting a culture of learning and success.

  • Ensure the team is following established quarterly and sprint planning processes and guidelines, course correcting where needed, and improving where there are opportunities to do so.

  • Determine task dependencies, and partner with external teams/resources where needed.

  • Identify and mitigate team and project risks, focusing on removing blockers for the team.

Monitor sprint and quarterly plan progress and work with the Product leads to communicate variances to important partners.

You are/you have…

  • 4 years project management experience of technical projects and 2 years team leadership experience.

  • University degree Bachelors or equivalent professional experience.

  • 1+ years of experience using Agile project management methodology.

Bonus if you have…

  • Experience using JIRA

  • Experience surfacing analytics and metrics



The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $93,700 - $153,900 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
