Design Quality Engineer
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Design Quality Engineer to join our Quality and Reliability Organization. As a senior member with proven expertise in semiconductor test, test methods, and design of test features, you will play a pivotal role in developing quality systems and methods across various business units in our organization to improve product quality through the pre-SI design phase.
Responsibilities:
- Design for Test (DFT) Exploration: Investigate and explore various DFT methods and test techniques to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the design and test process. Collaborate with design and product engineering teams to implement DFT strategies that optimize product testing.
- Quality Systems Development: Establish and develop quality systems that drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. Implement tracking indicators and pareto classification techniques to identify areas of improvement and focus resources accordingly.
- Data Analysis: Analyze pre-Si and post-Si data, including timing convergence trends, RTL bug rates, physical design bugs, validation bugs, and customer return rates. Utilize this data to inform decision-making and improve overall product quality.
- After Action Reviews: Champion the practice of conducting After Action Reviews to gain insights from project outcomes and document lessons learned. Proactively identify areas for preventive actions and drive the implementation of best practices for future product development in the areas of Design for Test.
- Business Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and document best practices related to quality systems and learnings. Ensure these practices are systematically applied to new product development, resulting in streamlined and efficient business processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. Drive initiatives that lead to increased efficiency, reduced defects, and enhanced overall product quality.
Preferred Experience:
- Proven experience in semiconductor test, test methods, and design of test features.
- Proficient in DFT methods, semiconductor testing techniques, and relevant tools.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design, product engineering, manufacturing, and leading and program managing technical teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Quality Systems and their implementation is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills to drive quality initiatives, lead teams, and inspire a culture of excellence.
Academic Credentials:
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field.
