The Director of Franchise Strategy and Marketing is a leadership role that leads franchise strategy, product marketing, and growth for our EA SPORTS Motorsports business comprising Formula 1 and WRC.  You will sit within the Publishing Organisation and will report into the Head of Franchise Strategy & Marketing that leads our Hockey, Fighting and Motorsports business at EA SPORTS.

Working in close collaboration with the F1 and WRC studio leadership, you’ll inform a multi-year business strategy that translates broad inputs into actionable product and marketing decisions to grow the business.   You’ll be the lead connector of teams, partnering with internal Product, Marketing, Commercial, Communications, Business Development, Finance and external Partners in Sport to build sustainable growth for the business.

As a Director in the EA SPORTS Publishing team, you will manage a team of direct reports and lead franchise-wide marketing efforts to greater innovation, speed and effectiveness.

What You’ll Do

  • Grow the Business, responsible for accelerating growth of our existing business and generating new value: 

    • In partnership with EA SPORTS studio leadership, develop and ensure ongoing refinement of a multi-year strategic growth plan across product, category and consumers

    • Guide internal understanding on the roadmap with EA SPORTS Leadership, defining partnership plan and requirements to deliver.  

    • Make data informed business decisions that extend from the multi-year strategic plan including, annual content development, partner support plans, and performance metrics

    • Steward marketing and live service campaigns for Franchise and Game Product(s) that create demand, reach, drive action, increase fan engagement, and achieve results

    • Develop fan segmentation strategies and partnerships that support the needs and wants of the core and adjacent motorsport communities

    • Establish franchise goals that improve DAU, MAU and session time

  •  Lead Franchise Management 

    • Establish relationships with licensors, partners and teams, serving as a primary contact for franchise 

    • Partner with Studio, Business Development and Ventures Practice on in-game and out of game experience planning to support the franchise ambition

  • Team Leadership, development and management

    • Lead a team of experienced franchise leaders and marketers towards achieving annual and long-term outcomes

    • Bring together top-notch talent, partners, and agencies to lead quality content and creative output

    • Establish a learning culture that empowers ongoing optimizations

    • Site leadership in Southam or Guildford, UK. This position requires you to be present in office 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • Established experience working in a leadership role, in product or brand strategy, with a focus on global audience growth, retention, and engagement

  • Consumer expertise in a global B2C capacity

  • Galvanise and manage internal and external partners

  • Team leadership of direct and indirect experts

  • Experience driving business and team transformation

  • Manage multi million dollar marketing budgets to tied to outcomes

  • Experience bringing multi-channel content and creative campaigns to market

  • Passion for sports, specifically motorsports preferred.
