- Job Title: Director, Internal Communications
- Job Summary: The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) is looking for a leader to craft and innovate an inclusive, global employee communication agenda and supporting narrative. Based in Bellevue, Washington, the Head of Internal Communications will be responsible for ensuring the employees of TPCi are well informed, inspired and engaged, meeting them where and when they need critical information and to build community. Specifically, leading internal communications for major company initiatives, changes to people programs including such items as benefits and pay, Executive Communication support and issue / crisis management.
You will work closely with cross-functional partners and leaders to develop and successfully executive internal communication campaigns, while establishing a tone of voice which is reflective of the TPCi community across all channels, media and key communicators. This role will report to the Chief People Officer with strong partnership with the President and other Executives and lead a small team. You will lead the way in weaving narrative and inspirational storytelling into all we do, ensure key messages and content are brand appropriate and presented in a simple and elegant manner, and defining the purpose of each channel and directing audiences to them seamlessly. - FLSA Classification (US Only): Exempt

What you’ll do
- Work directly with Executives and business leaders/partners to identify needs, objectives, and strategies to create effective and meaningful communication campaigns and narratives.
- Leads the Internal Communications function, aligning goals to functional and company ones, determining and building the case for resources, and overseeing the dynamic team that brings it to life and enhances our special culture.
- Understand brand, culture, business plans, global landscape, and employee perceptions and act as an advocate for the employee experience through their craft.
- Strong ability to build plans, campaigns and messages that apply an understanding of the nuances of communicating in multiple locations and cultures (primarily US, Europe, LATAM with potential future expansion to other regions)
- Manage, continually improve and evaluate communication and tools for maximum effectiveness. Create new channels to reach employees with core messages. Bring creative ideas and new approaches to messaging to create and maintain engagement. Plan for options to track channel effectiveness and adapt strategy to maximize impact to employees.
- Plan, write and edit content for internal communications channels, including web, email, community platform, and print.
- Hire top talent and lead/coach your team on the development of internal communication standards and process to deliver best in class communication and visual assets.
- Effectively and creatively leverage resources / build resource planning to achieve desired outcomes.
- Drive the transformation of communications from a start-up to a center of excellence with a strong internal consulting model and others with the same mindset.
- Stay connected externally with industry best practices and incorporate as appropriate for the brand.
- Continually improve and innovate our hybrid all company meetings.
- Be a positive change agent for leading operational communication improvements and support consistent messaging aligned to rhythm of the business.
- Build strong internal processes to ensure appropriate stakeholders are informed at the right time.
What you’ll bring
- Significant experience (12+years) in Internal Communications and/or other relevant role(s) within a dynamic growing multi-national organization.
- 5+ years of people leadership preferred.
- Executive presence and ability to present and facilitate desired outcomes in small and large venues seamlessly.
- Demonstrated experience bringing internal employee marketing and communication strategies to life through storytelling.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated ability to develop creative and innovative communication and messaging approaches which are operational in nature and create ritual within an organization.
- Proven ability to influence key business stakeholders.
- Some graphics/presentation development skills are a plus.
- Previous experience thriving in a fast-paced, transformative environment with proven capability to influence change and manage effectively through ambiguity.
- Successful relationship builder with business partners and team members in a hybrid work environment.
- Embody the TPCi mission and Core Values and understand current and future workplace priorities and employee experience.
- Preferred tech, gaming, entertainment, or similar industry experience.
- Adept at working with data, assessing findings, and determining insights to translate into action.
- Tech savvy: including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, HRIS and ATS.

- Base salary range: For this role, new hires generally start between $172,000.00-$204,000. The full range is $172,000.00 - $258,000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
