About the Role

We're seeking a Project Director with a background in the video game industry to lead transformative projects, ensuring an understanding of organizational objectives. This requires strategic vision and oversight in project planning while using experience managing projects within the interactive entertainment sector and driving organizational transformation.

You will report to the VP of Employee Technology and work on a variety of business and technology problems, understand partner needs changes in many different industries, and envision how EA can use all technology, solutions, and processes to help create the best games in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Lead transformative projects within the video game industry, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with partners, with a focus on driving innovation and delivering exceptional player experiences.
  • Coordinate resources and provide direction to project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Develop and implement plans for projects, applying industry expertise to anticipate market trends and player preferences.
  • Monitor project progress, analyze results, and address challenges.
  • Be the primary contact for project partners, providing regular updates and addressing concerns related to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, ensuring agreement on organizational objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project team members, fostering their professional development within the gaming industry.
  • Evaluate project performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and new ideas, using experience in driving organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Create a environment, guiding program managers and business analysts as our team grows 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience with Project management
  • 5+ years experience with project management leadership roles within the video game industry.
  • Enjoy working with new technology, improving, and being creative solving challenging problems
  • Expertise in project delivery, with a focus on delivering in studio gaming environment.
  • Experience driving organizational transformation initiatives, with a focus on driving change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a passion for using technology to guide project success.
  • Commitment to excellence, integrity, and new ideas in the interactive entertainment industry.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP).


US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $170,500 - $259,300 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
