AMD's Server Platform Solutions Engineering team is currently looking for leaders who are passionate about the power of server technology and would like to be part of our inspired journey to greatly impact the world through innovation in server solutions. Our team is dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge technologies, such as our advanced chiplet design, the latest silicon process technologies, and our streamlined IO architecture, to build the groundbreaking products that meet tomorrow’s challenges in today’s data driven world.
We are looking for an inspired technical leader to fulfill the mission critical role in this journey of shaping AMD’s long-term firmware development strategy, leading and to operationalize it optimally through process, people, and technology. The ideal candidate will be an agent of change – a visionary engineering leader with a proven track record of shaping and leading growing technical organizations and achieving results, as measured by not only quality, growth, and efficiency metrics, but also culture-based indicators of employee engagement and fulfillment.
This role entails leveraging technical leadership skills to lead “special ops” deployment teams, challenged with solving firmware’s most challenging and mission critical initiatives to bring competitive AMD technologies to market as an industry leader. The role entails leveraging technical proficiency, horizontal leadership competencies, solid debug methodology, and interpersonal charisma to lead tiger teams delivering select advanced features, power-on efforts, and mission-critical debug initiatives. Candidates who derive satisfaction a sense of accomplishment by spearheading and delivering high energy efforts and cutting-edge solutions should apply. - 10+ years of firmware related experience, with experience with technical leadership
- Demonstrated history of problem solving
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience, mentoring and possible debug oversight
- Experience in the semi-conductor industry, preferred x86 or ARM microprocessor
- Proven track record of process driven technical leadership
- Ability to lead in with agility, responding to changing business and technical conditions
- Knowledge of Solid debug methodologies
- Inspired people-first mindset
- Demonstrated history of strategic vision
- Comfort with horizontal management
- BS Engineering or related field required
- MBA desired for candidates without direct leadership experience
