MTS EMULATION ENGINEER  

  

THE ROLE: 

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Emulation Engineer for Client SOC Team. In this role, he/she would be responsible for prototyping SOC design for emulators/FPGAs and running pre-Si tests.

Meeting the demands of the constantly evolving project schedule, the successful candidate will be a member of the Emulation team responsible for developing and delivering to various BUs. He/she will demonstrate passion toward design, design verification, be a teammate, a problem solver with independence, creativity, and interpersonal skills.  

 

THE PERSON:  

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Responsible for prototyping SOC design for emulators/FPGAs and running pre-Si tests
  • Work on one or more of the emulators or FPGA solutions - Palladium/ZeBu/Veloce/Protium
  • Work with SOC DV partners to put all the design/programming pieces together
  • Build and deliver "qualified" emulation/FPGA models to pre-Si validation   

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Creating and supporting emulation models from RTL
  • Driving system bringup on emulation platforms like Palladium/ZEBU/Veloce
  • Debugging test failures and simulation/emulation mismatches
  • Bringing up external I/O interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Memories, SERDES, SPI, JTAG etc.)
  • Having knowledge of AMBA bus protocols (e.g., AXI, AHB, or APB)
  • Having a good understanding of any CPU architecture
  • Being experienced in bringing up on Emulation platforms
  • Having knowledge of hardware modeling languages, such as Verilog or SystemVerilog
  • Having knowledge of logic simulation tools

  

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
