THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Process Architect  to join our team and help improve our organization’s efficiency through defining and optimizing JIRA workflows and requirements management processes.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of JIRA and related software, as well as a background in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and translating those requirements into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze existing business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Perform a comprehensive review of our organization’s JIRA setup, including project configurations, workflows, schemes, and custom fields.

Develop and implement optimized JIRA workflows to better support project management, issue tracking, and collaboration across departments.

Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, refine, and document business requirements for new or updated processes and systems.

Translate business requirements into detailed technical requirements, ensuring compatibility with JIRA and other related software.

Collaborate with IT, project management, and other development teams to implement changes to JIRA and associated systems.

Conduct regular reviews and updates of JIRA configurations, processes, and documentation to ensure they are aligned with business needs and industry best practices.

Develop and conduct JIRA and process-related training for staff to maximize efficiency, adoption, and user satisfaction.

Act as the subject matter expert and point of contact for JIRA-related concerns and provide ongoing support to users.

Keep up to date with pertinent industry developments, tools, and trends to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of process optimization and efficiency.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

Extensive experience in business process analysis, workflow design, and systems management.

Extensive working knowledge and experience with JIRA and related software for project management and issue tracking.

Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing optimized workflows in JIRA, with a deep understanding of customization opportunities and limitations.

Excellent requirements gathering and documentation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the ability to translate complex concepts into understandable language.

Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience providing training and support to users of various skill levels.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is a plus.
