In New World, players will fight for survival as they explore and conquer the mysterious island of Aeternum. In this role, you will work alongside a vibrant community of developers and game-lovers as we all work to share this ambitious game with the world. You will be helping to craft and create our worlds. You will need to combine a strong aesthetic sense of visually interesting spaces with a solid understanding of asset creation and artistic development.

Create beautiful, detailed art used to build our exciting game play spaces
Construct modular kits used to design epic battles - or heroic homesteads
Digitally sculpt organic shapes to showcase the beauty hidden in Aeternum
Work with the art team to ensure artistic unity with the entire project.
Excel at consistent aesthetic and technical quality throughout the asset pipeline.
Optimize assets and textures for performance and memory.

Work with art team to ensure artistic unity with the entire project.
Work design team to make harmonious and fun game play experiences

Irvine, CA, USAFamiliarity with modular level construction, gameplay composition, framing, and creating narrative with set dressing
Highly Proficient in major 2D and 3D software packages (Max/Maya and Zbrush/Mudbox, Substance, Photoshop, Houdini)
Expert knowledge of at least one Game Engine (CryEngine, Unreal, or equivalent)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $120,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
