THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer  to oversee and continuously improve our manufacturing process to ensure product excellence. You will ultimately identify, develop, verify and deploy methods, process, test equipment and systems to both improve product quality and optimize throughput. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement products, associated tooling, fixture, equipment, processes, materials, and systems into production to support new product launch, improve quality, lower costs and increase capacity 
• Employ LEAN manufacturing principles to champion a culture of continuous improvement in the elements of Productivity, Safety, Quality, and Cost Reduction with Contract Manufacturers and internal cross functional teams 
• Develop and implement capacity plans to meet demand. Identify long range throughput constraints & align engineering efforts and manufacturing strategy accordingly 
• Collaborate with Design and NPI team on engineering changes to improve manufacturability and cost.  Lead DFx efforts with contract manufacturers. 
• Drive continuous yield improvement, cycle time reduction to achieve mature yield and optimize capacity 
• Characterize process & product failures, drive relentless root cause investigations, corrective actions and mistake proofing 
• Develop, plan and manage manufacturing infrastructure & Cap Ex budget  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 8+ years’ manufacturing engineering experience with high-volume hardware products, with 3+ years leadership experience.  
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and cross-functional environment, where you are required to wear many hats and play lots of roles, along with roll up the sleeves and do the work yourself. 
• You are a calming force under pressure and can bring added value to critical decisions and collaborate with all leaders to make effective decisions in a timely manner. 
• Take initiative and enjoy implementing new processes and procedures for continuous improvement 
• Ability to lead and mentor others, and enjoy creating a collaborative, inventive, and high-energy dynamic environment. 
• Experience working in ambiguous environments, and willingness to collaborate and optimize overall business objectives. 
• Strong knowledge of data analysis and statistics. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS(min) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations & Supply Chain.
