THE ROLE: 

We are looking for a Fellow-level Engineer to join AMD's world-class cpu team, developing leadership microprocessors targeted at our growing Server, Consumer and Machine Intelligence businesses, in the role of DV Formal Verification Architect.  In this role you will drive innovative development and application of Formal verification methods to improve our cpu functional quality, plus helping create a more robust validation methodology and design.

 

THE PERSON: 

You will have strong technical drive and excellent leadership and communication skills to work effectively in a global core development team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Define and drive Formal verification strategy across all core designs
  • Utilize deep knowledge of micro-architecture along with formal verification to work closely with micro architects/RTL team to improve end-to-end functional quality
  • Work closely with current verification teams to incorporate advanced Formal techniques into design flows
  • Define milestones and metrics to track and demonstrate improvements
  • Build a world-class advanced Formal verification team

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Deep experience in functional verification with demonstrated expertise in Formal verification
  • Experience working seamlessly across engineering disciplines and geographies to deliver excellent results 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
