Rockstar New York is looking for a talented Full Stack Developer with strong programming skills to join our team.  You will be responsible for helping develop our production web applications and services used by our teams worldwide.

We are looking for a self-motivator with strong communication skills who adapts well to evolving priorities and deadlines, stays current with technology, and can evaluate code/server performance quickly and efficiently.

WHAT WE DO

  • We develop and maintain web applications to improve and standardize production workflows.
  • We help diagnose and troubleshoot unexpected issues that arise in both the web applications we maintain, as well as relevant tools that integrate with our web applications.
  • We collaborate with other departments to plan features and influence UI/UX design to be as intuitive as possible for the end user.
  • We plan for what’s coming down the pipeline, and review how to improve and advance our web applications.
  • We monitor and optimize web application databases for best performance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside the development team with an existing codebase to integrate features and eliminate bugs across our systems
  • Write stored procedures, functions, and indexes
  • Integrate new and existing domains with our CI / CD pipeline
  • Contribute to and maintain documentation
  • Keep up to date on rapidly evolving technologies that could benefit our systems
  • Commitment to continual self-improvement and professional development
  • Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields preferred or equivalent experience
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills
  • Strong front end web development skills
  • Experience with relational and or document databases
  • Prior knowledge of deployment and version control tools
  • Passion for games (especially Rockstar Games titles)

 

SKILLS

  • NET Framework and/or Core (C#)
  • MongoDB, Amazon S3,
  • Typescript, and HTML/CSS
  • Building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • VCS like Svn, Git, and Perforce

 

PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.

  • Experience with frontend UI frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular
  • Experience building a RESTful API
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and software such as Kubernetes/Jenkins
  • Experience using Postman, MongoDB, Elastic Stack, SSIS, and SSRS
  • Experience using front-end libraries/frameworks, SASS/SCSS, and Material UI
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes
  • Knowledge and/or interest in Motion Capture/Film Production

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
