THE ROLE: 

 

AMD-Xilinx is seeking a capable and motivated Functional Safety Program Manager with the ability to work efficiently and manage Silicon Development projects targeting Automotive and Industrial safety related devices.

 

THE PERSON:

 

As FuSa Program Manager you will work with cross-functional teams to manage the Silicon Development lifecycle according to Functional Safety standards. You will drive new processes adoption and collaborate with engineering teams for continuous improvement and efficiency enhancement.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Drive FuSa execution towards defined milestones across all silicon development teams such as Requirements Traceability, FuSa Work Product delivery and reviews
  • Establish requirements traceability from Marketing requirements to Architecture, Silicon Design, Software Design, Verification, Validation to Safety Manual
  • Manage execution of safety analyses in cross-functional teams ranging from Architecture to Silicon Validation
  • Perform safety analyses such as FMEA, DFA and FMEDA as defined in ISO26262 Part 5 and Part 11
  • Drive process adoption and continuous improvements
  • Represent FuSa team in Change Management and other forums as Stakeholder
  • Contribute to IP Qualification/Acquisition by ensuring the availability and completeness of all relevant FuSa-specific collaterals
  • Collaborate with System Software, Design Verification and Silicon Validation teams to plan System Software support, STL Development and Safety Mechanism Validation
  • Interface with Quality and Certification organization to align 3rd party assessment schedules to internal development timelines and customer requirements

Preferred Experience:

 

    • Experience in a PM role
    • Experience in FuSa or related field and knowledge of one or more of the following standards: ISO 6262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508, SOTIF
    • Experience in process improvement, tailoring and project planning for products targeting automotive and/or industrial applications with multiple FuSa goals
    • Experience in interacting with cross-functional teams such as Architecture, SW, HW and Solutions
    • Experience with industry standard safety analyses tools for FMEA, FMEDA, FTA
    • Experience with industry standard requirements traceability and issue tracking tools
    • Hands-on experience on safety analyses and review and participation to FuSa assessments

 

Academic Credentials:

    • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree
    • Formal training on Functional Safety
    • Formal training on Program Management
