Your Mission
 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Systems Game Designer to join Infinity Ward. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with experienced designers, animators, artists, and engineers to improve and maintain player mechanics, weapon behavior, and progression systems. You will collaborate with the team to produce the highest quality first person experience seen to date.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:   

  • Prototyping new movement and combat mechanics
  • Managing and improving data heavy progression systems
  • Technical asset hookup for weapons, player loadouts, and more

Player Profile

Minimum requirements:

  • Experience and proficiency with C-style scripting languages
  • At least two years of game development experience
  • Initiative-taking, proactive team player with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good oral, written, and visual communication skills
  • A deep interest, and passion for First Person Shooter (FPS) games

Pluses:

  • Use of analytics to guide behavior
  • Strong understanding of player movement systems with and an eye for quality motion
  • Experience with animation technology – blend trees, IK, and additive animations
  • Personal projects in unity or unreal

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $29.81 - $55.14 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
