Ubisoft Stockholm is a team of inspiring, innovative and bold people. While we are a studio of our own, we are also part of the Ubisoft family. We share the Ubisoft mission and philosophy of creating amazing worlds, with a keen eye for detail. If you want to know more, you have to join the ride with us to space!
We want to be a successful lead studio within the Ubisoft family by building great games in a better way, delighting millions of players around the world. Simple enough, right? If you feel the same, why not join?

Are you enjoying creating gameplay and animation systems? Do you want to work on a cutting edge and savvy tech for a unannounced game in Stockholm, Sweden? Then you are the one we are looking for!

The goal is to join the Animation team and build the core systems on which world-class data-driven gameplay systems are built. As we work in cross-functional teams within the project, you will be interacting with people from many other disciplines and follow agile methodologies to drive your work forward.

Our Plan

We know you have fantastical powers and for us it is important you get to show your magic. To do this, we are creating strong autonomous teams with independent decision-making, poke holes in things when required and freedom to try out new things and show why it works.

In this role, you’ll be joining the Animation System team and report to our Lead Animation Programmer. It is a small team, meaning you will have the opportunity to take on as much responsibility as you want. The team will also create data-driven code systems that satisfy performance requirements whilst matching their repsective design briefs. You will also adapt existing technical designs into functional code systems, in collaboration with other Senior and Lead programmers. As well as working with animators and technical game designers to create robust, scalable gameplay systems.

It will be important to listen and understand their needs, to share best practices and provide mentorship as needed on how to author gameplay systems – both in code and in data.

To make the innovation ride easier we would love if you...

  • Have an interest in building systems that drive gameplay animations.
  • Are self-motivated and have a creative mindset to problem solving in code.
  • Are a skilled C++ programmer.
  • Have experience with building large data-driven systems for highly dynamic characters

So if you are interested in working on next-gen animation systems for games? This is your chance to be part of something huge! Apply now to make it yours and to get to know the secret!

Diversity and inclusion are very important for us, and we also know that we don’t know everything. So even if you don’t tick all the boxes below, but building new systems is your passion, and you have a strong willingness to learn – don't hesitate to apply no matter who you are and let us know how you can contribute.

Making good games takes effort, making great games takes a different type of thinking. At Ubisoft Stockholm, we feel different thinking comes from many places and that good ideas, no matter where they come from, are the key to unlocking our potential.

Located in the central of Östermalm in Stockholm, Sweden, we believe thinking of new ways to solve old problems is a cornerstone of innovation and we are looking for passionate people who follow their dreams to make the world a better place.
