THE TEAM:

AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with our AI based Graphic Processors. THE ROLE:

The Project Management Office (PMO) within AMD’s Data Center GPU (DCGPU) group has an immediate opening for a GPU System Program Manager. In this role, you will be working closely with the GPU development leadership team supporting Instinct™ accelerators.  You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong understanding of the ASIC development process, a solid background working with project management techniques, excellent communication skills, and a desire to work with cross-functional teams to develop ground-breaking products. Your contributions will make a pronounced difference to future AMD GPUs for Machine Learning (ML) and High Performance Computing (HPC). 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will be required to:

  • Help build schedules, identify critical paths, and track program plans throughout execution
  • Identify risks and define mitigation strategies to address
  • Coordinate activities across a large matrix-managed program
  • Track deliverables and dependencies for multiple groups
  • Provide clear and timely communications to multiple stakeholders to provide direction, assure alignment and articulate

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Technical program management experience on highly complex projects involving ASICs, PCBs and Subsystems
  • Ability to deal with rapid development cycles
  • Working knowledge of program management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Proficient in productivity tools including; Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, OneNote, and Excel
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and be a team player
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems, work with ambiguity, and be self-motivated
  • Familiar with implementing and refining new processes
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • PMP certificate (Preferred)
  • Prior ASIC project management experience  (Preferred) 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience preferred

 

LOCATION:

  • Austin, TX is preferred
