This unique role combines graphic design fundamentals with emotive and expressive artwork to captivate players and enhance the overall gaming experience. The designer will be responsible for crafting visual elements for the FC Ultimate team, Clubs and Career mode. These elements range from artistic compositions based on tournament brands and campaign concepts to in-game promotional materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure end-to-end visual craft excellence and cohesion through consistent application of patterns while identifying the opportunities for patterns to evolve.
  • Contribute to creative sessions, brainstorms, and moodboard preparation.
  • Facilitate and harvest feedback from stakeholders.
  • Partner with Producers, Art Directors, and Engineering.
  • Translate creative concepts into 2D & 3D game art.
  • You will report to a development director and work closely with the FC Live Cosmetics Art Director driving quality and feature design forward. 

Requirements:

4+ years of experience working as a graphic designer/illustrator in the digital space . 

An understanding of relevant design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.

Post-secondary training or background in graphic design with Illustration as a major component

Experience working with Marketing or Branding is a plus

Experience with texture creation for 3D models is preferred but not required

 

Non-technical requirements:

Passion for your craft, curiosity, and willingness to develop new skills and to use new design tools.

  • Strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout, information organization, visual hierarchy, composition.
  • Awareness and application of modern usability and accessibility principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
  • Ability to turn assets around quickly to a high quality
  • Ability to create high quality art assets as per Art Director briefs.
  • Ability to manage assets across internal & external teams.
  • Ability to review & feedback outsourced work.
  • Strong eye for design, layout, color and detail.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions.
  • Ability to present creative ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Interest or experience with fashion/costume design is a plus.

It is required you share a portfolio or work samples, inclusive of unique and original designs for web, mobile, or console platforms.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $73,200 - $101,700 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
