Graphics Test Engineer
Foundation is part of Core Engineering at Unity. We lay the groundwork for all of Unity's Editor and Runtime technology, and provide a strong base for both our users and our internal technology teams to build upon.
Do you love 3D graphics? Are you enthusiastic about catching things before they break and have a passion for engineering and quality? As a software quality engineer, you will contribute to the always improving team's awareness and understanding of the quality of our product.
In this role, you'll get the opportunity to collaborate with Scriptable Render Pipelines team and help enable their success. Your work will ensure the various pieces fit together and deliver the best customer experience. A curiosity about rendering, combined with a quality, technical art, or game design background would set you up for success.
Your team colleagues will mostly be test engineers and technical artists, which will allow you to share knowledge, communicate, and grow with the support of people who possess a variety of skills relevant to game development.
What you’ll be doing
Help test and validate graphics features across different render pipelines
Work closely with developers to provide early feedback on new features and functionality
Help develop and maintain the test approach for your designated areas of the product
Collaborate with other testers and developers in an agile environment
What we’re looking for
Some graphics/rendering knowledge
Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
Passion for testing and software development and for solving hard problems
You might also have
Prior experience with Unity or another game engine
Experience with Lighting, Shaders, or VFX
Gross base salary (euros): 27900 - 37800*
*Note: Certain locations require a good faith disclosure of the base salary range for the role. The actual salary for the successful candidate may differ based on location, experience, and other job-related factors.
