Discord is the best way to hangout online with your friends. At the core of that is the ability to create your identity, be creative, and express yourself. This includes products and features such as profiles, avatars, emojis, stickers, and of course…memeing. These features also form the core “perks” of Nitro, Discord’s subscription offering, and are necessary for driving revenue.
We're looking for a Group Product Manager to join us and lead these product areas. You will responsible for creating a vision, building systems and features, ideating creative solutions, and building a product group to help our users communicate with each other. You will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Product.
What you'll do
Guide the product philosophy, vision, and roadmap for features and tools that allow users to create and foster their identity, express themselves creatively, and create original content on Discord.
Grow a team of accomplished product managers to help our users to talk to each other in their favorite places.
Work with teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists to build delightful outstanding products.
Work with our other product and engineering groups to create a connected vision for building a communication platform of the future.
Partner with other product teams across Discord, such as Communities, Growth, Apps, and more.
Creating and executing the strategy that balances promoting engagement with driving subscription revenue
Skills you'll need
6+ years of experience building and shipping great consumer software, including responsibilities driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines.
3+ years of experience managing product managers.
Ability to analyze and synthesize data, including writing SQL.
Demonstrated technical proficiency and effectiveness working with engineers.
Strong product sense and pride in understanding your customers.

Excited about solving complex problems, and then implementing them.
Early stage startup experience, especially as a co-founder.
Experience leading 0→1 social engagement products.
Experience in product or interaction design.
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical experience.
Experience working on consumer-facing subscription products.
History achieving impact through solving challenging consumer problems with innovative solutions.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $256,000 to $279,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related experience, and training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
