The HR Director acts as a strategic business partner supporting all HR activities and initiatives from both operational and strategic perspective. Responsibilities include driving successful implementation of leadership and organizational priorities including recruitment, development of teams, operational excellence and continuously improving the positive engagement of the employees in alignment with the company’s growth plan.

The HR director will work closely with the Managing Director, the Studio Leadership Team, Heads of departments, Managers and key Business Partners.

They will implement HR initiatives which foster the core values of Ubisoft and will promote the good behaviors /skills within Ubisoft at employee and management level.

The daily life of a Human Resource Director at Ubisoft Paris:

Strategy

  • Set up studios’ HR roadmaps in the frame of the Global HR roadmap by translating organizational business plans into HR strategic and operating plans
  • Partner with the business leaders in developing strategies and ensuring robust HR alignment with business priorities in terms of team staffing, performance and efficiency
  • Deliver the HR aspects of organizational changes that arise from business unit transformations.
  • As a member of the Studio Leadership Team, contribute to build the Studio’s strategy along with the other leadership team member

HR Management

  • Manage a team of ~30 people
  • Provide advice to leaders on building a safe work environment and culture to attract and retain the best talent for the studio
  • Foster a seamless, inclusive and positive employee experience for all Ubisoft Paris employees throughout their employee lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local employment legal requirements
  • With the support of the French labor relations team, act as a protector of a constructive relationships with the local employee representatives.
  • Consistently steers the management of employee relations issues in line with our core business values, thus driving a culture of fairness and accountability
  • Lead the Strategic Workforce Planning Manager in forecasting staffing needs, identifying and addressing competency, knowledge, training needs and talent gaps
  • Set up and coordinate training plan in collaboration with business leader and manage the annual training budget for Ubisoft Paris
  • Develop and implement career pathways for employees and succession planning to build a strong leadership pipeline
  • Align the local compensation & benefits orientations with the global rewards team and seek consistency at a national level to ensure competitiveness and alignment with the industry level practices
  • Follow-up on relevant HR KPIs to make informed business decisions based on reliable HR insights
  • Contribute to local, national and/or international ad-hoc HR projects or initiatives (example: HR Zone implementation)
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the best-in-class industry standards
  • Collaborate with other HR communities across the Ubisoft Group to share best practices
  • Collaborate with the French HRDs Executive Committee to ensure consistency of HR policies & employee experience at a national level
  • Seasoned professional with experience in senior HR responsibilities and member of business unit board, ideally experienced on both business partnering and leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of Ubisoft Production business
  • Solid understanding of all aspects of HR administration and regulations, including current employment laws
  • Experience of Labor Relations
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Strong communication, networking, negotiation, and persuasion skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and conflict management skills
  • Proven experience managing senior team members
  • Strategic and analytical approach to HR planning and data management
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Positive, entrepreneurial, and service-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in French and Excellent verbal and written English skills
