Ubisoft is currently seeking an innovative, results-driven Director of Human Resources to lead a team of HR professionals and oversee all functional, tactical and strategic aspects of human resources for the United States. This role will be based in San Francisco, CA and report to the VP of HR Global Publishing in Paris.
This role supports a population of 600 talented individuals across our Publishing and Studio teams in San Francisco, Ubisoft HQ teams based in the USA as well as our Customer Relationship Center in Cary.
A successful candidate will possess stellar business acumen and will be able to maintain a strategic and high-level perspective of the organization and functional objectives, while also having the ability to be hands-on.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Steer and mentor team of HR professionals (HR operations & Talent acquisition) and help the team achieve high operational excellence.
- Develop HR strategies to align with business needs for the US. Represent the US in the Global HR structure.
- Provide strategic direction and support to the US executive team on all people-related matters.
- Partner closely with the US General Manager to anticipate needs, develop communication strategies and to help steer the culture of the organization.
- Partner with the Global HR Teams as well as local counterparts in other Ubisoft offices to identify and develop best practices, advocating for process improvements for the US and Global Publishing teams
- Act as the primary escalation point to help solve both day-to-day and more complex operational problems, as well as the primary point of contact for partnering on projects, initiatives, and process design with departments across the company.
- Oversee all processes relating to an employee’s lifecycle to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Develop and optimize the implementation and administration of people-related programs and policies including, but not limited to, all stages of the employee journey, benefits, leaves of absence, relocation, immigration, international mobility programs, labor compliance, etc.
- Serve as an internal consultant to the central HRBPs teams and stakeholders across the organization on a variety of HR topics
- Act as a change agent and proactively stay up to date with industry trends,
- Act as an effective, trusted and credible coach and advisor to people at all levels within the organization
- Implement and utilize HR metrics to measure performance
- Foster a positive and healthy company culture in collaboration with local leadership and internal communications.
- Translate executive decisions into clear messaging and communications that resonate with the US employees.
- Manage a comprehensive annual HR budget
- Ensure company compliance with state and federal laws.
- Expertise in HR and demonstrated experience in an HR management role, ideally in a global organization.
- Functional expertise in compensation and analytics, a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of HR policies and functions,
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate and influence at a senior management level.
- Act as a mentor, bring a service mindset, able to work autonomously.
- Experience working in creative, innovative and heavily matrixed, international environments.
Director, Human Resources Hiring Salary Range (SAN FRANCISCO): $180,000 - $220,000
