THE ROLE: 

AMD seeks a passionate, collaborative Engineer with strong technical skills to work on IP development for AMD FPGA’s. You will work on architecture, design, and validation to create state of the art IPs for next generation FPGA’s.   

 

THE PERSON:

  • Strong technical and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, architect and deliver complex IP’s.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work across geographies and teams to design/develop and deliver IP’s.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of FPGA & ASIC design cycle, validation requirements, software requirements and Vivado flows.
  • Work with Architecture, marketing, and support teams to come up with IP requirements.
  • Work with verification and validation teams on ensuring the quality of the IPs.
  • Look at future roadmap and come up with development plans.
  • Facilitate closure of complex issues requiring multi-party alignment of AMD teams, customers, and partners.
  • Availability for discussions with coworkers and customers in other time zones.
  • Occasional travel.

 

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in managing and working with diverse cross functional teams across geographies that include SW, HW, Firmware, Validation, Verification and Marketing teams.
  • Experience in delivering complex IP’s.
  • Experience with automation using scripting techniques.
  • Excellent waveform debugging skills using front end industry standard design tools.
  • Experience in debugging using lab tools.
  • Hardware bring-up experience.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar preferred with 7+ years of experience
