The IT Intern at Ubisoft Toronto will provide support services on-site and remotely to all departments within the Toronto & partnership studios and teams. They will be part of the IT team which provides including but not limited to - managing and ensuring continuity of all hardware and software, on-premises and cloud tools, and events on and off-site.

They are also the first point of contact and must be ready to resolve a range of issues and escalate as required and be able to prioritize objectives and tasks based on established priority levels. The gaming industry is ever evolving, and the successful candidate must be aware of the current technology trends.

The daily life of an IT Intern at Ubisoft Toronto

  • Administer, support, and troubleshoot studio hardware (desktop, laptop, monitor, printer, etc), software and network operating systems.
  • Collaborate and learn with experienced World-Wide IT teams for knowledge sharing and personal skills development.
  • Perform and manage shipping of hardware as required by the business.
  • Create and manage users, computer accounts and their access to network resources in Active Directory.
  • Deploy Microsoft operating systems and packages remotely using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (formerly SCCM) tools.
  • Install PC hardware components such as graphics cards, RAM, SSDs, and hard drives as part of the PC deployment process.
  • Manage, maintain, and upgrade servers as required by production needs.
  • Apply security best practices for workstations (ex. disk encryption, update deployment, etc.).
  • Configure and support multimedia equipment in conference rooms with video conferencing and stage systems (ex. sound and lighting consoles, video capture, streaming).
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of hardware, software, and technology resources.
  • Organize and plan IT storage space and work area.
  • Monitor and maintain technology systems for maximum user support.
  • Support the teams during relocations and various events (training, marketing, etc.).
  • Provide support for liaising with external suppliers on equipment repairs.
  • Update the knowledge base with newly diagnosed problems and configuration procedures.
  • Coordinate with UBISOFT Global Network Services (GNS) for 24/7 IT business continuity.
  • Perform all other related duties.

  • Currently enrolled in a University or college diploma in networking or related IT or technology education.
  • MUST be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) from May 27, 2024 to August 30, 2024.
  • Demonstrated technical experience with PCs, Laptops and Servers
  • Knowledge of:
    • An automated deployment system, MEM/SCCM, AD, OSD, etc.
    • Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office365 Suite
    • TCP/IP communication protocols, Active Directory, and latest PC and GPU boards
    • Different types of network equipment (switches, routers, network configurations)
    • Support software and remote access systems (VPN, RDP)
    • Scripting language (batch files, VBScript) (asset)
    • Creative software (Adobe Suite, Autodesk products, Visual Studio, etc.) (asset)
    • Mac and Linux operating systems (asset)
    • Gaming console and mobile devices (asset)
    • A+, ITIL V4, and MS 365 Fundamentals certification (asset)
  • Familiarity of SharePoint concepts and tools (asset)
