As a Lead Animator (M/W/NB) working on the production of a realistic AAA game, and under the supervision of the Animation Director, your tasks will be as follows:

  • Managing on a day to day a team of 4/5 animators to help them grow,
  • Working with an outsourcing team from another Ubisoft studio to check on their attributions, to maintain the relationship and manage what they are working on,
  • Imagining, prototyping and producing keyframe animations based on existing animations,
  • Receive and retouch motion captures, managing real-time constraints and ensuring the best possible animation quality,
  • Cutting and integrating animations into our proprietary game engine (Anvil),
  • Act as a point of reference for your animations for all the project's trades, in order to meet animation quality and consistency objectives,
  • Participate in the optimisation and development of the production process and animation techniques 
  • You have already worked on realistic video game productions, ideally AAA projects, where you were responsible for gameplay animations, particularly associated with characters and vehicles;
  • You've already managed a team on a day-to-day basis;
  • You have a very good command of Motion Builder and are comfortable integrating animations into a game engine;
  • An interest in facial animation is a real plus;
  • Knowledge of Maya is also a plus;
  • Any technical skills (rigging, skinning, IK, etc.) will be valued;
  • You are known for your excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A good command of written and spoken English is essential.
