What you'll do

• Work closely with the CG supervisors to establish the modelling pipeline for each project;
• Lead the modeling team to ensure the work meets a high-quality standard and is delivered on schedule;
• On regular basis, act as liaison with the show supervisor and producer in regard to work allocation for each ongoing project;
• Create digital assets based on supplied reference material and / or production concept art;
• Give technical direction to the modelling team while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work;
• Assist in shot allocation / assignment;
• Provide constructive feedback to the modelling team to deliver the highest standards of quality;
• Work with animators and riggers to resolve technical issues and optimise assets for animation and collaborate with lighting TDs to ensure assets are optimized for render;
• Provide CG supervisors and producers with progress reports, as needed.

What you bring

• Possess a thorough understanding of the modelling process and the ability to interpret designs and match photographic reference material;
• Have previous experience in creating photorealistic organic and hard surface digital models;
• A good understanding of the visual effects pipeline from modelling through animation, texturing, as well as rendering;
• Have a good eye for detail and excellent time management skills;
• Experience in training artists with previous management experience;
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills in both French and English;
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Ability to work under pressure in a high paced environment.
