The Molasses Flood is looking for a Lead Producer to work closely with the Production Director and fellow leadership to ensure the success of our developers and project. The person in this role will manage a team of production staff, collaborating with team members in all departments, communicating up and down the pipeline to oversee the delivery of new features and experiences. The ideal candidate is a highly-organized, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about games, is comfortable working with cross-discipline teams, is a strong communicator, and has experience managing and executing a project schedule.
This is a full-time salaried position, reporting to the Production Director, and is open to US or Canadian candidates. This role may be performed per our hybrid work model in the greater Boston area (Tues/Thurs in our office and Mon/Wed/Fri work from home), with relocation assistance available. This role could also be performed remotely within the continental US and Canada, and according to US East coast core hours. Benefits and salary range available vary by country.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate the needs of a dedicated, cross-functional team to help to manage tasks, timelines, budgets, staffing needs and milestones
Manage and mentor a team of specialized production personnel to drive the timelines and development process with team members
Shepherd close collaboration and communication amongst team members, including external resources when needed
Schedule and lead meetings, maintain documentation, and ensure information is accessible and clear for all team members
Collaborate and communicate frequently with Production Director to inform of blockers, delays, or needs to keep the project on track and on budget
Work closely with leadership of each development discipline on resource planning and scheduling, interdependencies, inefficiencies and development status
Facilitate knowledge transfer and provide transparency up and down the line of production to all Leads, Directors, and stakeholders
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Prior game industry experience in a Senior or Lead production role involving task and schedule management
Proficient in tracking software and tools and maintaining up-to-date documentation
Adept at problem solving to resolve unforeseen issues, challenges, or impediments
Strong organizational and time-management skills, detail-oriented
Ability to work autonomously, self-motivator
Candidates must have a US or Canadian work permit or citizenship
Curiosity, kindness, and a positive and professional can-do attitude
Nice to haves:
Prior experience with UE5
Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, Slack
People management experience
Budget management experience
The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 USD, negotiable, for US hires, and $153,000 to $229,000 CND, negotiable, for Canadian hires. Salary offered will be based upon a number of factors, including but not limited to: country of hire, skill set, years and quality of experience, and suitability for the role.
